WHY CROWDFUNDING Already from this first edition, the workshop has found the support of relevant national and international academic and cultural institutions, which have actively committed themselves to making the initiative possible and to encouraging participation. This is due to the relevance of the topics covered and the importance of providing scientific answers to important social and cultural issues such as the management and redevelopment of complex urban centres as Palermo. Furthermore, the willingness expressed by the organizing bodies to make the workshop an annual event, encouraging study, research and cultural fruition activities has convinced the partners of the project to implicate themselves on it. On the other hand, the limited sources of public and private funding risk creating logistical shortcomings, which could undermine the high level of the proposed contents and the positive repercussions that the project aims to have for the territory and the community that inhabits it. This is why, in order to guarantee the quality of the services offered and the high standard of training, we ask for support from all of you!! The costs foreseen for the organization of the workshop amount to a total of about € 7,000, including the fees to be paid to lecturers, accommodation and entrance fees for the participants, preparation of all the teaching material and organization of some collateral events. Part of the costs will be covered by the registration fees of participants, but thanks to your fundamental contribution of € 1,000 we will be able to support the necessary expenses and proceed to the final destination of June 2018. MANY THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
